Greener everyday

We want to do as much as possible to look after our environment. That’s why we’ve been carbon neutral for our own operations since 1 January 2019 and why our electricity is generated by renewable sources. Find out how we’re greener every day.

Cutting plastic

Reducing and recycling plastic has never been more important. We know what a negative impact plastic has on the environment, and we know how important it is to our customers. Here’s what we’re doing to help reduce plastic packaging and waste throughout our supply chain.

  • By 2025 we have committed to reducing plastic by 50%.
  • By 2025, we commit to reducing at least 50% of all packaging on our products.
  • 100% of own-label packaging to be reusable, recyclable or home compostable by 2022.
  • By the year 2025, we commit to 50% of our plastic packaging be made of recycled content.

Healthier everyday

Healthy habits start young. That’s why, along with Team GB, we have helped to inspire millions of young people through our Get Set to Eat Fresh initiative. This free educational scheme gives schools free resources to teach kids about healthy eating and encourages them to cook for themselves. Get involved today!

  • To support the Government’s obesity plan and address the obesity epidemic, Aldi are taking a number of actions to help customers make healthier choices.
  • Nothing is more important than ensuring the safety of products that you buy. We ensure that all Aldi own-label food products and production sites meet national food safety and quality standards.
  • Aldi is a proud and longstanding funder of independent alcohol education charity, Drinkaware, and supports them in their mission to reduce alcohol misuse and harm in the UK.
